rpw manifold and tb packages
i was going thru the price list at rpw, they've got a 64 mm manifold + tb as well as a 65 mm one. whats the differences between the 2? other than the price for the 65 mm being way lower, 100$ cheaper for the tb and 200$ cheaper for the manifold

Because when it comes down to it, you can get more ponies out of cheaper cars for cheaper than it costs to just buy an FTO. Let's face it, there isn't much you can do to an FTO to increase the power figures without spending stupendous amounts of money or pulling out the engine and completely rehashing it.spetz wrote:I don't know...
Not many people modify FTO's for power... I don't know why...
People who are generally after speed will stick with turbo cars and mod the tits off those, you can do it for cheaper and get better power figures.
As an FTO owner I've already realised that what we drive isn't exactly something to standby in the eyes of most car enthusiasts.....let's face it.....FWD NON Turbo car with minimal displacement, everything is stacked against us.

Oh don't get me wrong, there's nothing I'd love more than to wipe that smug grin off a Skyline owner's face with my little FWD FTO by kicking his butt.dannyboyau wrote:but when you do the mods and starting creaming big horsepower rear wheel drives, it is so much fun
They usually can't believe it when they get beaten by a FWD
Again, then it comes down to budget and dollar for dollar turbos are always going to be more cost effective. Those Hondas that you talk about running 12sec slips, how street drivable are they? How much money has all that cost the owner? Reliability?Anyway bucket, plenty of honda owners doing that to their engines, and sticking to NA. Sure they have a much larger aftermarket support... but still...
Most FTO owners buy one because it looks stylish for a 10 year old car, not because it pushes your eyes to the back of your skull or goes super sideways when you want it to.
And Honda has a nice aftermarket because none of their cars are factory turbo models, so those who do want to do up their cars have to do it other ways....obviously Honda is popular enough to warrant the money.
