There are quite a few posts on this so a search would be most helpful.....But in short there are many opinions....however the manufacturer say 28 psi on the rear and 32 psi on the front. However a few ppl think add 10% onto that for added safety.....others think add 6psi all round. Me....well I just put 36 in the front and 32 on the rear....so yeah opinions varied.

Hope it helps

28 is far too low... you will get rapid, inconsistant tyre wear on the outside very quickly.... i run on 32psi all around because i do a lot of open road driving so i like a softer ride, but 36 all round is recommended for 205/55/R16

and rotate your tyres!

I'd go 38 - 40 on the front, 34 - 36 on the rears. Cause i'm not a giant pussy.

40 was a little high for me on Sydney roads. I found 36/32 ideal. Play around with it and see what suits your driving/comfort needs.

Around town, i go for 40 front, and about 38 at the back.

On the track, you are aming to get 40psi, when the tyres a hot, so every time you come back you have to check what your hot preasure is, then adjust slightly when they cool down.

For stock rims, i suggest going about 37/36 front/back, or there abouts, doens't make much diffrence..

I don't understand......why do you think a car giant like Mitsubishi have got their tyre pressures wrong? :?

It's 2.2 bar front and 1.9 bar rear. :)

acctually, now thinking about it the best idea would be to get in touch with your tyre manufacturer and ask them

Well it all depends on what you want. reccomended tyre preasures be it from Mitsubishi or the tyre dealer will always be for "comfort" me thinks

And correct wear rate, handling and braking :) Too high pressures and you wear out the middle of the tyre and lose grip, too low pressure and you wear the edges, heat up the tyres and lose directional stability. But,like you say,it's all down to personal choice :)

That's soooo wrong dude, you don't alter tyre pressures because you're driving on different roads! :)

I recon it depends on the tyre and how you drive, on my old subaru liberty it ran on some 2nd tyres (this is what it came with) at 36psi, I used to break the steal belts, the tyre would form a big bubble and then it would go BANG!!!, and I found going to 32psi my tyres didn't form bubbles.[/img]
