emanage and safc and my ECU

Post by efteoh »

Hi Guys

im looking at installing a Emanage into my FTO. previously i was looking at a SAFC2 with was a much cheaper alternative, but i thought i might go a bit further and get something which allows my to advance my timing (good idea bad idea? cos if i do this, the ecu wont be able to retard timing if something goes wrong)

anyway, i was looking at the wiing diagrams for both (emanage &safc2) and i notice apart from the ignition power, throttle and ground (woopeedoo  ), they dont really share anything else in common!!!! eg, air pressure sensor, RPM!!!

the only LOGICAL reason i can think of is there are different forms of the same signel (eg positive vs neg) etc can anyone shed light on this issue??

thanks guys

this is my last mod, really!

i dont see the point of an emange on a non turbo car, also the fact that it costs way more for every module.

well, its fairly universal and i can move it onto my future car. the only module i would prob ever get in addiotion is the profec and a boost sensor.
