i'm not biased when it comes to cars. the trueno looks pretty nice too, especially the BZ-R's. parts are cheap as chips as there are a whole heap of them in NZ.
anyway.. not sure if there are any 6 speed FWD mistubishi gearboxes. i know with toyota they've got the celica gearbox... but the ratios are probably a bit different as well and wouldn't be completely suited for the 6A12 engine.
what's the reason for the 6 speed by the way?

The easiest way to do it (if there is such a thing) would be to use the Evo 9 gearbox and convert it to FWD by welding up the centre diff. But I could think of better things to spend the large amounts of money that would cost on!

hes not overly rich he cant just buy all that stuff and say to people put this in now i'll make it worth your effort.
he rang me last night and told me he bought the car and is only going to put the fto 5spd into it because he wants to spend more of his money working the engine, he is taking it to the workshop next week and trying to get 300kw out of it.

Yeah good luck, & tell him his not the first to try ehhehhee we will see him soon at "Want to buy" section as he will need new parts when they start to break at that level.
Seriously tell him to speak to "Dannyboiau" his one is close to 300kw, & since his a mechanic, he did 99% of the work, so he can give your mate some tips

Meh... front wheel boxes are good for plenty of HP...
Its when u start looking for traction that things break. I got a 140hp mini that runs 12.89 seconds quarters. All I had to do was strengthen up the diff when launching on the sticky stuff. Biggest issues with jap boxes is main shafts being to weak - that and the bearings that hold 'em up. Some are good (heaps heavy duty) some not so good.
