REALLY NEED

i have bought my Mitisubishi FTO 3 weeks ago from adelaide...i live in whyalla S.A and travelled back from where i bought it and did 760km before the cops picked me up and defected me!!!

they got me for my steering wheel and seat belts..

i have since then bought new steering wheel, brakes, pedals, dvd player, whole car system!!!

but i have been going through my local mitsubishi dealer in Whyalla and they have not got any news back on if they can get in FTO rear seat belts???

the cop said i have to get brand new ones or i couldn't get it off defect...also im sick of going out of my house looking at my sick as looking FTO and not driving it..

its a Mitsubishi FTO Mivec, 1994 model...can someone please help me???

is it the back seats ?
why dont u take them out and not have the back seats ? until u find a replacement..
and your streering wheel is what size ? what did they get u in troble for ?

Hey mate. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

You could try Mitsubishi in Adelaide CBD (cannot remember their name at the moment). I know that Luca has bought a lot of little things from them (new) in the past.

But I am surprised the rear seatbelts would even have been looked at...

Shame you live so far away - don't suppose you'll be coming down to a cruise any time soon!

look up "KLIPPAN", they supply seat belts that are aussi standard.

why did they pull you over in the first place? sounds like police harassment. Do police even have the right to pull you over for no reason?

Does anyone know the original size of the FTO steering wheel? was it larger than the typical aftermarket MOMO sports steering wheels? if the new wheel is the same size it shouldnt be a problem I'm pretty sure.

Police can do any random "breath" test as much as they please, & thatâ€™s a good enough reason.

Anyway I believe his FTO color is some sort of gold, so thatâ€™s would be why it attracted the cop's attention.

yeah man the car is gold and a very shinny gold so it does extract a lot of people!!!

nah ISOTTA just brung out new steering wheels which are legal and they look wicked...if you need a new steering wheel trust me have a look at ISOTTA new steering wheels...there wikd..

umm a cop pulled me over in the day to check over my car and then that night a off duty cop caught me speeding and dobbed me in to the cops...they then came to my house the next day and done me..

i was so sad because she my new baby..and yes before you say they cant do me on my house because they had a law or something that they read out!!!

but yes i really need these seat belts quick...umm does every 1994 FTO seat belts are the same???

or does different months made matter or what???

i really dont know anything about back seat belts so can someone please help me with this because i really need them...umm ill pay what ever just please find me the right seat belts..

because i have a sticker on my car saying the steering wheel is legal..

i aint dumb...and plus oi made sure before i bought it..

YEAH BABY ITS ALL GOOD NOW I FINALLY HAVE GOT MY NEW SEAT BELTS TODAY...YEAH BABY!!!

THAT GET PUT IN TOMMOROW AND THEN I CAN GO GET MY BABY OFF DEFECT...YEAH I REALLY CANT WAIT...

IM SO HAPPY I GET MY BABY ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!
