Well heres my effort,
about a year ago i decided i wanted something a bit different, so i sanded off the Mitsi etc ridges and bogged it flat, (make sure u bog it on the engine otherwise it will curl up and the bog will snap when u put it back on the car) so after id f**ked that up i re bogged it and sanded it, traced the fto logo and put a layer of red paint onto it, then i used pvc tape to make the designes and Chrome painted over top... then i decided to put a clear coat over the top... which ruined the chrome and i ended up with a metalic grey/red engine cover.... and thats the way its stayed
