There was a post about this a while back with some guys posting Boomerang Alarms in the for sale section. Unfortunately the data has been lost but the general gist was that these alarms may not meet the specifications required by your insurance company. From memory they didnt have the required 3 point immobliser and remote starting of the car was not allowed in some policies.
My advice is to check with your insurance company before outlaying the dollars for a system that may void the insurance on your car.
Since you in Melb, i know Jetspeed sell them before, but as kazbah said, check with your insurance, as some don't allow engine start feature on the alarm.

The company who makes Boomerang had stop making them now, so if you find some, they would be the left overs.
However, they also make Kopel, which is kind of the new version of Boomerang.
