Since when have angel eyes been a defect?

They come standard on BMW's don't they?

exactly...there's no defect...on the angle eyes...as long u keep it the same color as your headlight...and a really blue LED and any other color will be defect on the spot...except white and yellow

Hmm... There seem to be plenty of DIY Guides on the internet for making your own Angel Eyes, I'm pretty good with my hands & a mate of mine is an Avionics Technician with the Army (Chinook & Blackhawk Helicopter Electrician)

I figure if he can wire a chopper he can do my headlights... I'm going to give this a go! I have a heat gun so I don't think I'll need to do the "Headlight In The Oven" trick!

just put it in and watch it bake!

While yr at it, u mite as well paint the housing the same colour as yr car to giv it the Ferrari look

looks like no hope on the angel eye for me then, seems too expensive and getting no where
