WTB 4Spd instrument cluster

Post by lovemyfto »

I got caught when buying new dials for the instruments. Funcky products website said no need to remove needles but when I received the kit....

the instructions said I needed to reseat the RPM needle as the numbers where in a differnt possi. so in doing this of course the needle no longer moves....

I now need a 4sp Instrument cluster please... don't care how many KM's are on the speedo....

Mortal of the story if it ain't broke don't bloody touch it.

Where are you located? A local member might be able to help out.

Chances are the needle isn't actually broken but rather not correctly sitting in it's holder. It's a very fiddly installation and this was a common problem from people that ordered the dials.

Tell me about it (I installed my kit last night). You might like to try moving it about a bit. I thought I had lost my tacho a couple of times, but it did come good eventually with a bit of adjustment.

I'm in inner Brisbane...

I tried for a couple of days to get it to work pulled the bloody thing apart a couple of times too.. At first the needle wouldn't move past 3000rpm, now it just doesn't move at all. Tried wiggling it and pushing on it pulling it a little... even tried swearing at it no luck....

any help would be appreciated... if anyone knows of a place in Brsibane who can fix it for me would also be appreciated ( ie instrument workshop)...
