RPW 294mm Brake rotor Upgrades

Post by Mitsiman »

RPW is in the final stages of manafacturing a 294mm front brake rotor upgrade kit for the FTO vehicles.

The kit will come with a new knuckle arm, slotted rotor, brake pads twin piston calipers, EBC green stuff pads, rear shield protector etc.

WE are going to be fitting some soon to a FTO to confirm final fitment and if all goes to plan should work verynicely.

What...twin piston calipers? No four? I presume they will fit with the standard 16inch wheels.

Also how is the turbo kit going??

Maybe RPW should make a Mitsubishi FTO Power Pole or Mitsubishi FTO Brick Wall to smash into, for those people who forget to upgrade their stopping power.

:)

Actually a around a race track they would help to bring down your lap-times if you are able to brake later into corners, and reduce brake fade.

Anyone who still hasn't had trouble with brake fade and needs me to run through the exercises again should just sell their car.

The stock brakes are crap. Anyway, I take it you have made an uprgrade kit for the magna too then David?

Yes we have just finished taking the magna from 276 to 294mm rotors and EBC pads and our next plan after that is to go to the 320mm with the four pot Brembo caliper package.

But whilst we were doing the magna we were able to research the FTO (I had a 2nd hand set here) and we beleieve we have everything we need to manafacture a set for the FTO.

Just need a car to fit it all up to.

I can't give pricing yet as we are waiting for thebalance of our components to arrive and then we have to fit it up to the doner FTO who is getting the conversion done on his car.

We aer hoping to do it either end of this week or early next week.

Once done then I will post more pricing and information.

Yes this will fit into 16" rims.

The components arrived but our test vehicle has had other work being and he has run out of money.

So we are looking for another test car to fit them up to - the new calipers, rotors, hub assembly, backing plate, brake pads etc are all here ready to fit up to a vehicle.

hi people

i had my brake on my GR (256mm) upgraded to the GPX (279mm)

i now have more brake pedal travel as the GR was only single piston and the GPX twin

would you need to upgrade the master cylinder

it now stops a lot better and harder
