Hi, new to the forum!

Post by Star_Lancer »

Hi all.

19/m/Sydney here

Only just bought my 95' Black FTO GPX today and I love it. Get excited everytime I look at it, it's my second car and previously had a Lancer - so I like Mitsubishi's a lot!

A friend referred me to this site and I am keen to go on NSW cruises etc. when they come available. :)

The FTO itself I bought stock except it has hks drag exhaust and pod filter. I am interested in putting a Version R kit on it and black wheels like raised volks or something.

Looking forward to chatting to more of you soon,

Aaron.

Welcome Aaron,

We usually post events in the NSW section and unfortunately you just miss a great cruise to Kiama last Sunday, 9 cars in total. The are some pikkies in the NSW section under Review Kiama Cruise (or something like that). There's also a poll running at the moment to see what the next event will be, feel free to vote..

Hope you stick around

Hi Aaron,

As kaz said, you just missed a big crusie, but yeah, have a bo peep in the NSW section. There's a bit of interest floating around at the moment. So there might a another cruise happening before you know it! :D

As far as mods go, have a look in the 'tech / performance' and 'styling' sections. If your looking for a version R kit or similar - it looks like the guys are going to do a group buy from the UK on some unique kits.

Cheers,
Ben

Just one hint - a Version R kit consists of a rear wing. Thats it.

The rest of the kit is no different to any other facelift FTO...

It's gone :( - now carless...

Cheers,

Ah anyone I speak to about black wheels on the FTO hates the idea. :( Do black wheels really look that bad on them?

I just got the idea in my head some reason to get this particular black wheel for it (like a 5 spoke or something) and it'll look stealthy.

Can anyone recommend decent wheels? Preferably within the Enkei/Volk Rays/5Zigen etc. range.

To be honest I don't like the idea of a black wheel unless the lip is a different colour.

Why you ask.....because a wheel and tyre are two seperate things and it just looks odd when you combine them.

If you have a look around on the UK FTO site (www.ftooc.org) and browse the gallery you will probably find a few FTO's with black wheels.

These wheels look pretty neato.

Those rims look similar to the ultra light weight Buddy Club P1  so maybe you should look them up.

I really like the design of those wheels. Can anybody suggest a wheel that looks similar that is readily available in AU for a reasonable cost?

I think Lenso do a similar style of wheel at affordable price.

Still wheel searching, so frustrating.
