Hey all everytime i reset my ecu my tranny behaves like crap for a while! Why is this? I was thinking of getting one of those batteries you plug into your cigarette lighter to stop it from being erased.
Do these work?
If so what the price on them?

Tranny reverts to factory settings. Being a semi-intelligent computer it learns your driving style & adjusts to suit - gear changes included. I've only had one experience with the cigi lighter battery when NRMA changed my battery last year & it didn't work. But being a manual the only thing I lost was sterio settings...
Other folk I've spoken to swear by those battery things - have seen them at Auto One for under a hundred bucks.
