I got a new regulator in my alternator when that went. Also got another part changed, but I can't remember what it was. All up it cost about 250. If you like, I can give you the details of where I got the work done.

I think I'm gonna be up for the cost of a new alternator, or rebuild... my little' beast wouldn't start tonight ( '95 Auto GPX ), And I had the Engine light and System Exhaust Overheating light show up after i finally did manage to get it to start, so I left it where it was, didn't drive it and got it towed back to my place so I didn't do any more damage to it. Fairly certain that the alternator is not charging which may be why the Engine light showed up ( Electrical disturbance?? ) which still doesn't explain the exhaust light showing up...

Has anybody else had simliar problems with their FTO's or know anything more about the problems I might be having / How much it might cost to fix / Places in Brisbane or Gold Coast that I might be able to get the work done for a good price? ... I've only just bought it a couple of days ago, and for the alternator to go now is just really bad luck, so I'm hoping it won't be too expensive seeing as I haven't had that much use out of it yet.
(Was a private sale, so no warranties.. :( but meh, what can ya do..)

Any help will be much appreciated :)

Thanks,
-Mik
