Another update,
Danny`s engine arrived last Friday. After spending 2 days installing it the workshop could not get the microtech going. It was then that I remembered that Danny had told me had had replaced the original crank angle sensor with a Wolf one. I had told one mechanic earlier on this info, but he did not pass it on to his collegues. I told the head mechanic and got a tirade of abuse as they had wasted 2 days work, and would now have to take out the front end to replace the crank angle sensor.
So it still hasn`t been started yet. Hopefully early this week, and I should have the car by the end of the week.

I can feel your frustration, as it happen to me for the whole month now, people just not doing their job, it doesn't matter how many time you reminded them, they just don't pass on the messege & end up wasting your time/money.

Hope your car up & running soon. :D

sorry to hear that Jeff

I would have thought they would have noticed that one of the parts sitting in the bottom of the crate with the motor was another crank angle trigger and relised that they needed to put it on.

actually shouldn't be too long and will take it down.

Found out yesterday what the clutch problem had been when the clutch stopped working completely.

I will fix it tomorrow and might take it for a spin down the track and see if i can pick up a couple of tenths of a second and take back the top spot.

still Jeff might grab it soon too when he gets his going.

any word on yours yet Jeff

Yahhhoooooooo!!!!!!!
I picked up my car today.
Oh my god.
At 7 psi it is pulling 300hp, at 14 psi it is pulling 370 hp, and at 16 it is 410.
Needless to say I have not driven it above 7 psi, and that scares the crap out of me.
I have gone through 3 sets of underwear already.
Driving home from the gold coast back to Brissy at 110kph, I dropped it back to 3rd and floored it, the bloody thing lit up my tires. This thing is unbelievable. And thanks for all the warnings about torque steer. Boy does it pull when the turbo kicks in. I had a mate in it who owns a 300kw Clubsport and he could not believe the pull it had.
The good news is, that when you drive it sedately the 6A13 has so much torque it drives beautifully as my daily driver, with no lag.
Thanks again Danny for the engine.
By the way Danny, the people who built my clutch were MPC in Brisbane. I looked them up in the phone book but couldn`t find them. I`ll hunt arround for you and try to find their number. The clutch is rated to 1000hp, it is a little hard on the left leg, but still quite drivable.
On the weekend I`ll hopefully have time to take some photos and update my website. I`ll post here when its done.
As for the 1/4 mile, my car should be close to 12secs, but I can see my driving skills being the limiting factor.
Once the turbo kicks in you go from 3000rpm to 7000 in a second so to shift through the gears to do the car justice is bloody hard.

Latest Update.
I am still scared but am getting used to it. I was hoping to do a 1/4 mile soon but the winter nats are using up much of the track time at willowback at present so I probably won`t get on the track untill late June. Driving home I noticed the Aircon wasn`t working so I rang the workshop, and they stated it just needed regassing. I took it to get regassed, and they found 2 loose pipes, and they had not wired in the compressor. They also showed me a couple of dodgy things the workshop had done. I had my mechanic friend check it out and found a bad oil leak and a power steering fluid leak, so I will be ringing the workshop on Monday to do a bit of complaining. They also did not replace the antenna to my radio or power to the cigarette lighter, ( for my GTech, not cigs ), so I am a little peaved. I was hoping to see my 0-100 time with the GTech.
As for photos I have updated the website with some photos, sorry no time for dyno slips yet.
