Sourcing parts for my FTO

Oh and just a foreword, i'm new to the whole car scene thing, my mates aren't really into them and neither is my family. I love my FTO though. So be nice to me, i've had no experience sourcing parts or having work done (except for the horn thing i got done at Browns Automotive). I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and try and do things myself, but i'm not very confident and lack a kick ass toolset.

Hey I was after some help finding bits and pieces for my FTO. It's my first car and so far it's been a real pain in the ass to get aftermarket (and original mitsu) stuff locally, and I have no idea where to start looking overseas. I would be extremely appreciative if you could help out in finding places (locally or overseas) who can provide these products/services and at approximately what cost. I don't even know if some of these things are available... Here's a quick list of some of the stuff I was after:

Official Mitsubishi Stuff (or a suitable aftermarket part)
Rear Shelf (need a backup before i modify the current one)
Rear Shelf Plastic Clips (x4 i think, mine are all busted)
Glovebox Lid/Flap thingy (scratched to hell)
Gear and lower console sorround (mines snapped)
Centre compartment lid with cup holders!
Window guides (mine rattle )
Single Din thing so i can replace the Double Din stereo with a single
Battery tie down bit (mines rusted up the shitter)

Performance
Air intake and snorkel kit for a GR (seriously, it can't be that hard, it just has to be shorter doesn't it??)
Rear Upper and Lower Strut Braces
Radiator heat sheild thing
Airbox or heat shield
Short Shift kit

Exterior
D'cautro front lip
Place to respray lip and front bar
Clear repeaters
Those bluevision bulbs (what sort do i need, i want high beams in both spots, currently theres modded high beams in there or something)
Replacement high power bulbs for the foglight area
Third brake light blanking thing (metal plate with FTO cut out)
Mesh for the front bar to obscure my corroded ugly ass radiator

Interior Styling
Silver handbrake cover thing + Red leather gaitor
Red electroluminescant dials (and an installer to fit them)
Proper Red Dash LED's to replace ones behind aircon (adriano used normal ones and it has hideous bright spots)

for led's go to www.ledsales.com.au - I modified the superbright ones I bought by cutting off the tops and filing them down. Then I soldered 2 leds to replace each globe and angled them so there were no bright spots

For the window sliders - get them original from mitsu or jsut take yours out and clamp them up... part number should be listed on here.

where in sydney are you?.
With the LEDs if you don't know or want to solder them you're better off ordering the ones that already come with resistors...

the mesh you can buy from a steel dealer or mesh supplier...most sheetmetal shops may cut and sell you one
Regarding the brightspots, you most likely get them with LED even if you use wide angle unless you place them far enough from the aircon screen.

For your Air intake & box there are a few kits,
Unique Auto Sports in Castle Hill (Syd) have one for the GR and I belive there is an HKS kit availble from certain retailers.

Strut braces are available everywhere:

For overseas ones you'll cop freight charges

Short Shift kits can come complete from www.perfecrun.com.au
but they tally upto about $650 with freight from Japan.

www.rpw.com.au will do you a short shift for $350, but you gotta send
your stick over there (WA) for them to modify it.

but rather than replacing the clip, just tap the metal bracket with a hammer to make it a tighter fit. Just remember to use a good dry lube (like graphite) when re-assembling.

The Poms blow FTOs up as much as we do & there's some really
good info / links on the site.

I've brought in a few thing from Camskill like vented discs & springs
and the freight isn't really that bad..
