AC and spark plug

Post by Chruncher »

HI guys

I am new on this website and also a new FTO owner.

I got few problems

1-Every time when i start my car, my aircon turns on in full speed. On the LCD screen it shows off but even though it blow air in full speed. Any idea??

2- I just need to change the spark plug but i dont have the spark plug tool. Does anyone know the diameter of the spark plug tool so that i can grind and make my own or if anyone knows the place from where i can buy (canberra)? If anyone who live in canberra and have spark plug tool, is it possible that i can borrow????

Thanks

Hey! Canberra! :P
Welcome to the Club!

Anyway for question one, the only thing that i can think of is take the aircon unit out and see if there are any plugs/wires that are unpugged from the back.. maybe some other member will know..

as for question two, i think you will need a special mitsubishi spark plug thing, which you can either get from hopefully the mitsubishi dealer,

i think if you want a home job is to like you said grind a normal one so that it's more skinny... and that fits, i belive the size is still standard for the spark plug...

i have never done the above, my mechanics have always done it, as replacing the 3 back ones you have to take off the intake minifold...

Anyway, what side of Canberra are you from, and what's your ride?

Hi Chruncher,

I use a ground socket. But would you believe I ground the size stamp off. I know it's 5/...

So it has gotta be 5/8ths. I put a 5/8ths socket next to it to compare. Anyway ... here is a photo, hope it helps.
