Random question,
Has anybody tried or does anybody know how much you can increase the bore on a 6a13tt engine?

In my opinion the potential increase in 50-100cc is not worth the loss of cylinder wall strength especially seeing as the engine is turbo, and if you are boring it you are already using aftermarket pistons (and hopefully rods).
So basically I think you'd be better off with 50cc less while using marginally higher boost due to the extra strength rather than the other way around.

Even more practically, is it worth chasing yet more power when even the stock 6A13 turbos can bring the engine up to 220kw+? tbh you'd be better off spending all the money from increasing the capacity on things that will actually help you put that power to the ground to begin with.

I reckon you could get at least another 0.2 of a litre
Could probably offset grind the crank journals to get a bit more stroke too.

Yup, guy on ozvr4 from NZ is looking at making a 2.7L stroker kit using Nissan rods and Toyota pistons. Think he measured the cylinder wall thickness and reckons we can go to 84mm pistons which would get it to about 2.8L. Just a matter of finding pistons.

The Toyota ones are forged, and a lot cheaper than getting them made. He works at a custom cam/engine place, so I'm sure he knows what he's doing. lol
