Depends what you want. I got some off eBay relatively cheap. Can get Reconditioned. Could buy a new OEM one for $1k.mezje wrote:Yep, it happened, tis the season I guess if you are on the fb page, where is the best place to get one?

Awesome, before I proceed, I think it is the starter as the car takes a while to start, or struggles to start. One time it did not start for a good 10 minutes and just made a faint click when turning it on, after doing it a few times I could smell burning electronics - starter?dstocks wrote:I have a 2nd hand one

Re: Starter Dying/Dead
Get a confirmation from someone before grabbing. I do know that if you are getting a faint click, try tapping the starter with a hammer and then try again. That will often fix.

I will grab the voltmeter and run it by Dad again, I'll let you know how it goes.dstocks wrote:Get a confirmation from someone before grabbing. I do know that if you are getting a faint click, try tapping the starter with a hammer and then try again. That will often fix.

Re: Starter Dying/Dead
Tapping is only a temp solution though. But if tapping fixes it then it usually means the starter is on the way out.
