Re: Bonfire 2015
Fantastic week of FTO greatness.
The cruise over from SA was exciting, rewarding and tiring.
On the way to Vic we stopped at a small country town for a rest stop at a servo and we were interviewed and photographed by the local rag I have asked for an email copy but haven't received anything yet.
Our first night of camping at Port Fairy, Vic was super fun. We had to setup and sleep during a virtual cyclone, well it felt as miserable as one. But we still woke up in the morning and continued our adventure.
The Great Ocean Road was awesome, as were the 12 apostles.
Leading the Drive into and through Melbourne CBD was an absolute head fuk, I made many last second decisions forcing all of us to cross multible lanes of peak hour traffic.
But we made it to Tarcus's, and a very big thanks to Rob and his wife for looking after us for the night. You treated us like family
Thanks for the Vic's for joining up with us to get to NSW, but not you Mr Furniss (only joking).
We had a tourists kind of morning at Narooma, NSW on the day of the bonfire. We played giant chess, and we saw seals and dolphins.
The bonfire was fun, eye oppening, loud and alround brilliant.
Thanks to Dwayne and wife for hosting.
Thanks for the suppliers of food, Schumie and Technicalhouse.
It was great to meet some new faces.
I loved seeing my NSW bestie and buddies again, can't wait to see you again soon.
The trip back to SA was nearly un-eventfull, besides one FTO overheating once, again glad I carried bottles of water.
Thanks to the SA crew for making 2015's cruise so enjoyable.
BTW my son Steven had a wonderful time and can't wait to go next year.
I have some vids to look through, stay tuned.
Now lots and lots of pics...
