replacing blown bulb in climate control

Post by fto617 »

hey guys,, i took out the panels and the climate control unit trying to replace the bulbs
i twist the circle off the circuit that holds the bulb but i couldnt pull the bulb out of the cirlcle thing ( i think its alled a bulb holder) ???
anyone know how i could pull it off?
and i bought the T5 LED which are the same as the one ruchi had in his DIY how do i remove the housing so just the LED is exposed?
thanks.

You have to undo the thin wires that hold it onto the bulb holder. I kept pulling mine today and it broke! Only after it broke did I realise that you have to unravel the legs!

As for removing teh led housing - I use some side cutters to cut off the excess plastic.

BTW where and how much did you buy your t5 led's for? The autobarn that I went to (autobarn chadstone) only had std t5 leds and i'm after the wide angle ones - they were $11 for a pair.

T10 wide angles were $13 a pair.

I see you're in Sydney - rice products look like they are cheaper over there :)

In anycase - i'm returning the ones I got as they aren't bright enough. I'm going to order mine from the US.
