The silver lining to this whole debacle is look! The blue fto is now replaced with a bigger 4 wheel animal!

Was it going to happen anyway and the FTO incident just pushed it along? Looks nice! Was going to ask if Sedan or wagon. What are the specs on these?

Yeah I needed a bigger car anyway. would've been nice to have the fto as well...possibly could've tracked down the future.
The R36 is great i reckon. 220kw AWD 0-100 5.6s
More importantly it's a good blend of elegance, subtlety but power. Plenty of room and boot space and looks great!

Swish. Should throw the rims off the FTO on it for sh*ts and giggles!

Re: Blue FTO GPvR $7k ono
I am interested... Any idea how much the air condenser would cost? Looking at wreckers it doesn't seem to be too bad
Not liking the idea of finding a new front bumper but I could deal with a random colour for a while I think. Been looking for one for a while now and would love one from here rather than carsales/gumtree. Now I just need to convince Dad to let me have it sit there...
I have my own wheels that I could put on it. Definitely nothing else wrong with the car?

It is a repairable write-off so can be re registered.
Here are the pics - not "too bad" i think. I've also misinterpreted my gf's incident. Originally i thought the red runner did the side collision (before seeing it and obviously wasn't paying enough attention) but its the other way around. the car ran a red, both slammed the brakes and did some weird side, fronty angle collision thing.
It's still sitting at Abbotsford Body Repairs if you want more pics i can take them.
Parts needed to fix are unchanged. Body shop claims that both headlights need changing but only one is cracked and the lights work so not sure why they would say that. They also think the side guard needs replacing.but even with my knowledge i highly doubt that. Looks like some panel beating is needed but not replacing....maybe this is why it was written off- Over quoted?
I'm actually considering fixing this up myself because i can't seem to let it go
. I've been in other FTOs before but they don't sound the same :/
Problem is i don't have the space to store it, mechanical gift or disposable income atm for a project car (story of my life)

Re: Blue FTO GPvR $7k ono
So by the looks of it...
It is going to need a whole new front radiator support and stuff.
New lights (or second hand)
New bumper bar and rheo
Bonnet will need to be adjusted or replaced
And yeah, not too sure about the guards.
But I can see why the price is adding up ... If you were to pay someone to complete all this, then to paint on top, you are looking for quite a bit of cash... Labour intense..

I talk a lot of sh*t, usually have to keep a roll of toilet paper handy in the car for my mouth

Also the bracket for the headlights is probably broken (common in front enders) which would be why they say you need a new headlight

Wow it doesnt even look that bad, just get a rheo, front bar, headlights and a bonnet. Then put it on and see if it fits right.
