My mate sells them for about 160.00Au and mine are fine they havent shorted out once and have been really good so far. When you break one it is a real pain in the backside to replace beacuse your up for a whole set but where did you mount them? not on the body kit! you will break them if you mount them on the body kit and you also get an uneven light spread under your car. key i found is to mount them either at dusk or in a lockup garage where you can pull down the door get check their position. I love how the blue glow of mine just shines through the chrome on my wheels it looks mad!

Hmmm, I don't have my car around to measure - but would there be anywhere in the engine bay that one could mount a (roughly) metre long neon??

Would just above the firewall be alright or would the wiper motor get in the way?

well my front ones are set back between the splash guard and the back of the body kit, and there is room there. putting the neon there is actually really good beacuse it limits the amount of damage you can do to the neon and it dosn't affect the spread of glow from the neon either. harder for the cops to find:) my side neons are also set back i tried to butt them up against the rear of my side skirts but i found i lost to much light so when i set them back and the brackets brought them down a little again i got a really good glow. it's important as you know to get a good even spread of light around the car you just have to find what suits you and again it depends on the size of your body kit as to where you put them. in th rear there is a lot of room to mount a neon i made a bracket to mount it to to get the neon into position where i needed it to mach the glow of the rest of the car.
i'm really happy with the effect i have. i'll take some pics and show you.
