Headlights delaminating

Post by Gracie »

I have done a search on this topic and I did find the very good guide in fixing delaminating headlights by Boris

However, i just KNOW that my skills are not up to scratch ... and if I try to fix the headlights myself, it will be a total disaster!

Can anyone please recommend me someone that can fix them for me? IF there is such a service...Since changing them seems to cost a lot! :?

TIA!

the most time consuming job of polishing the headlight is actually getting the headlight out so that company/person can work on it.

so... im guessing its best solution is to go to a smash repairs workshop and ask them to take the headlight out and get it polished.

I don't know about Sydney, but Canberra has nil! That's why i wrote the guide. And if you do find a place that does it, it will be most likely a non-automovite shop, so you will need to take the headlights out! (medium difficuly)

Gracie, my only suggestion, to you would be go to a newsagent, and look through some of the car magazines, the magazines that are a bit ricey, and bling bling that sell/advertise lot's of parts, they sometimes even have special magazines with car accessories in em, Those magazines are the only places where I have personally come accross a special service that does that for cars!

That's the only suggestion i have

Good luck, and a Merry X Mas.
