brake pad scraping on brake disc

brake pad scraping on brake disc
the back braking pad appears to be rubbing on the brake disc. any way to free it up and stop the scraping noise? halp

Means you're out of pads. Change the pads.

is that a DIY fix or would it be easier to just send it to the mechanics?

If you've never worked on a car before then send it to a mechanic. The rears are more difficult than the fronts.
