ok, I promised stupid questions..
The FTO has central locking yeah, that you use with the key and both doors lock, but it isnt remote, that you'd have to install separately?
Is that correct?
(I would like remote central locking, any suggestions on how to make that happen?)

Get an alarm system that lets you remote open your doors.
In fact, go fancy and get an alarm system that remote open your doors and remote starts your engine.
In fact, go really fancy and get an alarm system that remote open your doors and remote starts your engine and wire your mirrors to the alarm, so when you lock your doors, mirrors fold as well.

You have to be careful with remote engine starts if your car is a manual. A guy here was recently prosecuted for starting his manual car with a remote starter after he'd left it in gear. It jumped forward and hit a pregnant woman
- not good.
But yeah a window winder would be very handy...
