1. what's the part number for it?
2. is it easy to take off?
3. how much did it costs u guy?
4. which page of the technical manual shows how to take it off

aclass automotive in Castle hill supply on an exchange basis alternators full reco'd unit for a couple of hundred... they've now doine heaps of FTO's and are recommend by myself.

actually i just took mine off and it is a bitch to get out...
you have to
firstly undo the alternator,
then take the alternator mount off the engine,
then drop the right suspension so you can move the cv shaft down
and then undo the right engine mount and jack the engine up a bit....
then the alternator will slip out and you will be able to get to it via the right wheel well
