Fuel Filter Fitting

Hi, would someone be able to help me with this. This photo shows the connection of the fuel filter. At location marked "A" and "C", is that the top and bottom of the fuel filter, would fuel squirt out when unplugged?

At location "B", there are screws holding the filter in place, do i need to undo them first??

um, ive attempted to replace my fuel filter once, and failed... i ended up twisting the fuel line... but i learned my lesson

you need to disconnect the top bit of the fuel filter, fuel will come out, but you can use hose pinch' things(autobahn, supercheap) to stop that.

I actually cant see the picture you tried to upload but, at the bottom of the fuel filter you need to use two spanners, one for the fuel line and one for the fuel filter. whilst holding the fueline nut, start twisting the fuel filter nut.
very important, the fuelline nut is not a twisting nut, so if you twist the nut you wil be twisting the fueline...

In that picture,

1.Undo A
2. Undo B( the bracket, to allow for fuel filter movement)
3. At the bottom of the fuel filter you will notice there are two nuts, Using two spanners, one on the fuel line nut and one on the fuel filter nut, start twisting the the fuel filter nut only.

C actually doesnt look like anything to do with the fuel filter, C shuold at the bottom of the fuel filter.

will much of the petrol come out? can i just put a cloth over the pipe?

yeah, you can buy some hose crimp/clamps that seal off the rubber hose... not much should come out though

its doable , if you have the right tools and i think u need to take of the air intake..

yeah you may have to take off the intake pipe and your strut brace if you have one... and even then its a bitch to get to... but like Jono says...it is doable...

hi i just tried undoing screw "A", but it was too tight...... i was scared i would break something if i use too much lever force.......

i found that wd40 worked really well. also using a hammer or small mallet to give the spanner some punch also works well.
