Re: BJK's '95 GPX
Just get a decent trolley jack and a set or two of stands and a tool kit like this - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Tool-Set-148 ... 4acdc86b0c
Should get you through 99% of things you need.

You obviously didn't see the scissor jack bend from a DIY day at Ben and Kaz's..silverGPX wrote:Jack stands are for pussies!! Lol
Front bars were being taken off for angel eyes. And just as one of the members got out fron underneath Bobby, the jack twisted and would have crushed him.
They are not desigbed to take the weight of the car for long..
I just had to add it ......

I talk a lot of sh*t, usually have to keep a roll of toilet paper handy in the car for my mouth

I popped in a lower control arm in pouring rain at night with a rusty scissor jack on a side of a hill with a sh*tty handbrake lol

Re: BJK's '95 GPX
Seriously thats just plain stupidity and laziness. Takes literally an extra 5 seconds to just move a jack stand underneath.. + then you get use of your jack back
I will never work under a car without stands or a hoist under it.

Not needed unless on a hill. Which you shouldn't be jacking your car up on anyway

Yeah I also wear a safety helmet and gloves. And a hazmat suit and just in case I wear safety glasses and a breathing mask inside the suit and get all my injections before working on any car

Re: BJK's '95 GPX
Meanwhile, some pics from the late night work with Kiz and Jack. Using the power of Kiz's toolkit and Jack's spare headlight, we have something that will hopefully pass inspection so I can drive my damn car. Even did the cold air feed at the same time. Though we didn't manage to get the aluminium bit in the hole near the airbox as it wouldn't fit past a bunch of wires.
