Car Bra / other options to protect front of car

Post by Ad »

Just thinking ahead a bit if I do end up buying a car interstate - I'd like to protect the front of the car for the long haul home (will be driving it home). The obvious solution is a car bra - but I cant seem to find much info on these specifically for the FTO - anyone know how much these cost?

Failing that, are there any other options that are just as easy / cheaper?

I'm looking to protect the front from stone chips and bug strikes and stop hundreds of lemming like bugs from suiciding into the radiator

I suppose wrapping the front of it in glad wrap won't work

Well theres no car bra for FTO, but you can get those universal soft clear rubber stick on which are use on the head lights, i'm not talking about the hard plastic crappy stuff. I use to have them on my other car, & you can't tell they are on what so ever.

Basically they like 3M clear protection products & also universal, so u can cut them down to any shape or sizes. Most car dealer will try to sell them to you when u buy a new car. And i'm sure places like Autobarn would stock things like this, if not, when u pick up your car from interstate, just drive to any Mitsubishi dealer & ask for them.

I was thinking of using that clear stick on stuff - looks like that might be the go, especially since there's no bra available. I suppose a bit of mesh will catch the bugs before the radiator does...

Yeah, someone on the Yahoo discussion group had one made up.

I'm pretty sure it was this company:

http://www.robcoproducts.com.au/

I think he had it done for a Veilside front though, but I don't see why you couldn't do one custom for any front bar.
From FTO to EVO......
