You CAN use a GR manual box on a MIVEC engine and vice-versa.
There is no difference between manual and auto ECU's. The only difference is between Non-Mivec and Mivec ECU's
Auto FTO's have a separate ECU for the auto box.

I'm sure you can use it but I'm guessing the driveshafts will be different?
We know the gearing is different. Are there any other differences? I'm thinking clutch, flywheel?

Everything else is the same. As long as you have the driveshafts to match the box, you're good to go.

Yup. The GR box also suffers from the 'It could be 25 spline, it could be 27!' dilemma same as GPX as well

Oh okay,
I have a GP 4spd and the parts my shop has to offer is a 5spd manual box + ECU from a GR fto.
What I now gather from this conversation is that I can use the GR gearbox but remain to use my own ECU?
is this fair to say? .__."

Correct. As long as you have the correct driveshafts.

Honestly I'm shocked it hasn't sold.
These things barely hang about, and yet you can't move yours.

Because the only reason you'd buy it is if you had a fucked gearbox, if it had an LSD it would of sold by now for sure lol

Go back about a year however to a time when all auto owners wanted a manual conversion.

I'm going to be the bastard that says "If this is still around in x amount of time..."
Any idea how much everything there would weigh? Dimensions of the longest things?
Would it fit in the boot of an FTO?
