Coolant Issues

Hi guys, i just opened my coolant reservoir to check if it requires topping up, but only to find that the stuff in there is really really hot........... feels like boiling........ is that normal?? thanks! :oops:

hmmm boiling? as in you touched it whilst boiling? 8O or was it bubbling?

Coolant gets pretty damn warm when idling after a while, if you've been driving around, it'll be near the boiling point of water.

Change/topup the coolant when the car has cooled down a bit. Wouldn't want to crack our radiators, would we =)

Coolant gets very hot.
The boiling point of coolant is like > 150C

So in your case it's very normal... :wink:

very very hot!

just make sure you dont open the cap without letting the car cool down, its pressurised.

Unless u got one of those pressure release valve radiator caps, then you just press the button first.
