GET RID OF THAT DAMN TOPIC

Post by pagan »

in all honesty, screw freedom of speech and and all that politacly correct crap. get rid of that "steve ran with my money" thread. i saw it and thought WTF! now imagine what a new person would think!!!!!

i read through it and it is resolved great, a lot of people have read it thats great, but as some have suggested, there is no reason for any new members to see it so it should be deleted.

i bought $700+ of goods in one hit from steve, and they all arrived together bar the seat covers i think it was. so steve sent me another pair, i was only like 2 days old to the club. tell me why he couldnt have said, " hay man your lying everything else got there, bad luck champ" but he didnt, he sent me another pair. he is an honest man in my eyes who has taken on too much work. i know its only seat covers but if you look at it logically i got what i paid for, BUT STEVE paid twice.

im sure if we had a member vote the club as a whole would be in favour of deleting that topic all together, it cant be good for the club. im very serious about this, we need it gone!

oh and delete this topic also coz i sure as sh*t dont want to start that crap all over again.

and if anyone wants to use this thread to argue my temporary disregard for freedom of speech and political corectness, (which actually cancels out freedom of speech lol) dont bother! read my SIG. i am a pagan and proud... now back to my virgin sacrifice..... 8)

Get rid of the thread, it will bring nothing but harm to the club. OK Steve may make mistakes every now and again. (But don’t we all). Regardless of the mistakes he has made, think about all the good things he has done for all of us.

This club would not exist if it wasn’t for Steve! (Think About it)

(Just had to get that out of my system.)

Eh, the topic will roll off within a few weeks.

I'm not saying to keep it for the free speech issue. I'm thinking we've got nothing to hide.

If you're sensitive about the topic, then change the name.

Honestly, I'm in the club because a vast majority FTO community is here, I'm here for the community and the furtherment of that.

Kudos to people who are working behind the scene as getting a club up and running is a lot of work, but if this place didn't exist, there would be another forum, possibly without a club, but I haven't seen anything that doesn't already happen on other forums that are just a group of people without the formal entity of a club.

Yes, I might have opened up a can of worms with this post, but that is where these threads were going eventually, better to get opinions out in the open.

Eric, I don't think you've openned a can of worms, but you have raised a really good point. There is a big difference between simply setting up a forum and setting up a club.

There's a lot of benefits which will come from being a formal club, this could include such things as CAMs licenses, track days, alliances with other companies such as insurance etc.

A lot of time and effort has gone into trying to setup the club, none of which the people doing it have gained from. Those of us who would be members stand to gain a lot, so I have no idea why some people would risk jeopardising that.
