Lower rear mount: Evo I-III
Lower front mount: Evo IV-VI
Top mounts are both: Evo VII-IX
Just had a look at Meek for prices... Please confirm I have the right products...

I would be happy for a group buy on these if we have interest or someone closer to Seven Hills NSW could organise it

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Only problem is the rear mount is the factory hardness while all the others are harder.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Yes, that is correct.
I just spoke with meek and the rear lower mount is Hardness HS60 (not HS50 as descibed) the other 3 mounts are HS90. Will this cause a problem?
If we go genuine, all mounts will be HS50 (softer)
They are willing to do a group buy discount too, for 10 or more. I would have to email them so they can work out a quote.
If we want genuine they can do a quote for them too.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
We can't get HS90 in the rear lower so should we be looking at HS50 all round then, ie genuine?Daniel2019 wrote:Won't you chew through the softer one super fast?
or
Would it be benificial to have the harder on the other 3?

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Sorry what I mean is if you have 3 hard ones and 1 soft one (lol) that the softer one will get shredded more quickly than if you had all 4 of them soft.PHIL069 wrote:We can't get HS90 in the rear lower so should we be looking at HS50 all round then, ie genuine?Daniel2019 wrote:Won't you chew through the softer one super fast?

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Are these easy to get pressed out and new ones pressed in? like if I take my old mounts off the car and take them and the new inserts to pretty much any garage will they be able to do this quickly and cheaply? (in theory)

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
I ended up just buying all 4 of the genuine ones from amamaya, because this is all too confusing

Did you end up with 2 lower solid ones?destinationtoby wrote:I ended up just buying all 4 of the genuine ones from amamaya, because this is all too confusing
What is the part number for the upper drivers side?
How much did you pay for all four?

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Anyone know why the front and rear mounts on a facelift 5 speed auto are different and more importantly can I still use these evo bushes in them?

They're not different, just the hollow type.Rob Furniss wrote:Anyone know why the front and rear mounts on a facelift 5 speed auto are different and more importantly can I still use these evo bushes in them?
Only different mount is the transmission mount.
P.S. do a manual conversion and send me the 5tip.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
So for the top engine mounts:
That's one side....for the engine mount: (Race spec HS90, Evo 7-9)
http://meek.com.au/index.php?_a=product&product_id=520
and the other transmission side mount:
http://meek.com.au/index.php?_a=product&product_id=521
So one of those or should I get two of the engine mounts (and not the transmission). :\

Bennoz wrote:Ok, so I found a side mount that fits today Turns out its a Ralliart product, the same as an Evo 7-9 top mount. Made from HS90 hardness rubber, its significantly stiff than the old mount.

Mitsubishi part number MN580217. Price was $71.50. Yes it will fit both the gearbox side mount as well.

I've got my two lower mounts from meek (really quick delivery) and just got the old ones off and taking them to a garage shortly for pressing.

Fitted my bottom mounts and the car feels loads better, no more clunking between gear changes and everything just feels tighter.
