Fark!! That burnt orange looks awesome! 100 times better than my dodgy paint job. Is gloss the only texture he does or is he willing to do matte finish as well?

Thanks. Is actually a gloss orange, although in reality its more a semi gloss. Yes, he can do matt colours as well.Fark!! That burnt orange looks awesome! 100 times better than my dodgy paint job. Is gloss the only texture he does or is he willing to do matte finish as well?
Must admit, colour was Kylie's idea. At the time I thought what the hell, why not. But now, im so happy that I went with the suggestion. Would have been difficult to do better. The carbon fibre roof wasntmy idea either. That was a suggestion by the guy thatdid the wrapping. Hid the join and brokeup the colour a bit.Mate, that looks fantastic! i love that hue... its not too in-your-face!

Oh good, didn't want to critisize you.dstocks wrote:The carbon fibre roof wasntmy idea either. That was a suggestion by the guy thatdid the wrapping. Hid the join and brokeup the colour a bit.
First looked at it and commented to the wife.
Would have been better if it followed the edge of the glass both front and back, left the "rungs" of the side over the windows orange.
Thin at the front and gets wider as it goes to the back.
(I can see a bad quote coming)

Thats funny. Exactly what Aza said. Seeing as he is re-doing it Tuesday, I might see if I can get him to modify it according to your suggestionWould have been better if it followed the edge of the glass both front and back, left the "rungs" of the side over the windows orange.

EDIT: Meanwhile, is the vinyl on top the windscreens rubber?
EDIT 2, just noticed the color of the windscreen wiper rubbers.

Why not. Wasnt my idea and what you are saying makes sense. I think itll look better.EFA given 2 people told you.
There isnt vinyl on the top of the windscreen. If you mean the roof, then thats carbon fibre.EDIT: Meanwhile, is the vinyl on top the windscreens rubber?
EDIT 2, just noticed the color of the windscreen wiper rubbers.
Yeah, needed an new one for the rear window and that was the colour I found

No, I mean in the fact that Aza commented the same thing as what I posted. Atleast that's how I read your previous post.dstocks wrote:Why not. Wasnt my idea and what you are saying makes sense. I think itll look better.EFA given 2 people told you.
Not on the windscreen itself, but on the rubber trim that seperates the windscreen from the metal roof.dstocks wrote:There isnt vinyl on the top of the windscreen. If you mean the roof, then thats carbon fibre.EDIT: Meanwhile, is the vinyl on top the windscreens rubber?
It looks like the side parts is black rubber colored, whilst the top is a shiny carbon...
Could just be the photos...

Nup, just the photos. The CF looks like it bleeds onto the rubber in the photos, but it actually doesntNot on the windscreen itself, but on the rubber trim that seperates the windscreen from the metal roof.

Re: Introducing...... The Lorax
OK, Have some better pics:

And this is what the joins look like:

And a panel edge - how it should be done

And here are a few that are a bit shabby. This is why its better off taking parts off. Mind you, have to get pretty close to see them. Will probably fix these myself:

Overall, looks like a new car. Well worth the money.
