FTO Speedo Problem

Post by Sahin »

Grrrrrr been trying to work this one out for a while on the red car.
The speedo and the odometer do not work and it has been like that for a while now, it didn't work for phi either (previous owner)
It's not the actual cluster I've changed that to test
It's not the speedo sensor or wires as I've changed all that aswell
It's not any of the fuses or relays as I've checked them with a multimeter
Some one please shed some light on what else can cause the speedo not to work! :(

Is that the one with the gear on it? If so I've changed that

sounds more like its not getting signal to cluster, seeing as have changed sensor unless replacement is faulty check for signal recieved to cluster. Pretty sure it goes from sensor to ecu to cluster

Have you got a pic of which hole it is on the cluster plug?

I cannot see ANY frayed wiring anywhere. Its head f**king me.

i would tend to think its wiring as well.
How much of the wiring did you replace?
Might even be a cooked electrode or whatever on the ECU or something?
