Hi,
I just finished searching the forums and didnt find my exact prob. Yesterday while cruising along the highway a noise appeared - coming from the front right side. This noise is a metallic noise, 'tinny' kinda noise. It seemed to go away after braking. Last night however it seemed to get worse and wouldnt go away with a little braking.
My initial thought were that this is the noise that the pads make when they are nearing their end of life - can anybody confirm this? I am hoping there is nothing else that i need to do apart from replacing the pads.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Daz
Replacing the brakes in order or something else???

The noise sounds kinda creaky like - constant, and i guess if you have seen that ad with the old chook pushing her squeky cart along u'll know the noise (the ad where a servo dude puts a bit of oil on the cart wheel and the noise continues) I guess also similar to sliding a knife across metal (slowly).
I just took the wheel off before to inspect the front right, and it is definitely coming from there. As i rotated the wheel, it made the nose. Also i noticed there is very little brake pad left - so either way i am going to change that (if it was the prob or not)
Also thanks for that window link - that is another issue i had to get round to fixing
