weird whistle sound
hey was driving my car around today and l noticed when l would hit around 5k rmp or higher l would start to here a high pitched whistle sound coming somewhere from the engine. l dont believe that im loosing any power unless the power was never there from when l bought the car a month or so ago. does anyone have any suggestions for what it could be/ or what is wrong with the car ?
cheers

Sahin is just trolling haha.
Its hard to tell without hearing it.
Is it when the engine is revving up or when the car is travelling faster?

Hard to tell...
Can you get someone to step on the accelerator in neutral/park and go look in the engine bay and try to pinpoint the sound? My guess is a loose pulley or belt.

Re: weird whistle sound
It could be a vacuum leak, check vacuum lines for splits/cracks, check vacuum lines are all connected properly, check intake pipe for splits/cracks, check intake pipe is connected properly.
or
You could have intake to engine gasket failure.
or
It could also be a slipping acc belt or dry/worn pulley bearing.

Point, but it would be easier to have someone else do it so you can look around everywhere easier.Sahin wrote:Lol, or just pull on the accelerator cable in your engine bay? f**k danielDaniel2019 wrote:Hard to tell...
