Mivec Controller Manual

Post by venus »

I have a problem my wonderful boyfriend bought me a Type R Mivec/VTEC YO!!!!! controller i was so excited until I opened the box to discover the Manual was all in japanese. I took it to my mechanic and i have been searching for it on the internet but the company doesnt make them anymore. I was wondering if anyone has a manual that could help me out as i am so wanting to put it in. I mainly need the wiring diagram in english and the steps to put it in. I really need a hero with a manual

Please help

Umm... it would help to specify the brand and the model number...

Try this link:

I think it could be this one, or the model up from this one that you may have...

Ok, after some searching this is what i found... that's if you have that model number. The FTO ECU is located, on the passangers side, behind the plastic bit on the floor that is meant to hold the flares.

>> http://www.zentac.force9.co.uk/manuals/ ... smivec.pdf (Basic Manual)

If this doesn't help the only other way would be to ask the FTO Owners Club in the UK...

Just a warning... Mivec controllers don't do that much... you will actually loose power if you put it too early or too late as Mitsubishi did a fine job... I heard that putting it slightly later does a little bit, and also putting slightly earlier like 5.3k... but is also strongly depends on your mods...

Best thing with them is the REV readout, the speed limiteer & you can time your performance
