Stand alone ECU?
So ive been trolling the web all morning, done a quick search on this forum and rattled my brain ):
Someone be kind and help me haha
Im after hopefully, a stand alone ecu for my gpx.
Id love an apexi fc but i dont think they make one, all i could find was one for an evo 8
So apart from the boring emanage blue what full stand alone or piggy back systems can i get for my gpx to modify well as much as possible in the ecu side of things?

For a stock motor mate, a stand alone ecu is a pointless sink of money, you will no where near be able to get the full monty out of it, and justify the 1500+ youd spend on buying and tuning. Your better off with an emanage blue or other piggyback system.

I use an EMS 8860 on my Evo. Had all the features of the big players and a fraction of the cost.
I just had to add it ......

Re: Stand alone ECU?
I just looked at that ems and it seems decent
Ill have a better look later
How do u find out what exactly its compatible with? Or are they compatible with basically anything?
What did u pay for yours just as a price to have in my head?

Re: Stand alone ECU?
I was going to sell it to AJ for HKS FTO.
As I was going to upgrade as I want to go down a different path with the car, and need a newer ECU for what I want.
I think I got it installed for just over 1k. But the mechanic is my mate, and it was in his best interest. It was when I installed the Evo engine in my Hyundai. So it saved him time instead of having to mat the Mitsubishi engine to Hyundai loom..
