Just wondering if anyone has got their car windows tinted by the people at Solartint.
The prices I got quoted for the 2 options (Solartint Performance Plus and Solartint Contour Films) were $275 and $295 respectively.
It would be good if I can get some feedback (ie quality, longevity, looks, heat protection), and maybe convince me or otherwise on Solartint. I'm going for a legal tint limit only.
They have a location covenient for me to get to, as well as offering a courtesy car whilst my car is being done. And I believe they're a company that have been around for a long time.
Thanks.

Don't know of Solartint, I've priced two companies to get mine tinted.
Tint Mart (www.tintmart.com.au) has two products. The blurb on the web makes it sound pretty darn good and I'd say I'll go with this one. Infinity Reflector film ($299) is more reflective than the Black Pearl($249) and has a higher heat reduction and the Black Pearl has a blacker, darker appearance.
I also priced MotorOne, their tinting isn't quite as good and it would cost $432 on it's own or if I got Ming paint protection as well, it would only be $350.

People give crap on how good solar tint is blah blah. Let me tell you something. my Pulsar SSS was tinted by solar tint and they messed it up big time. The lease company did it for me. Prestige Motor sports does window tinting for $150 and its good. I have done it on both of my STI's, my R33 GTR and my FTO and it sweet as.

Which SolarTint did you go to, so that if I do consider them, I will avoid that branch.minh wrote:People give crap on how good solar tint is blah blah. DOnt know. The lease car is through www.smb.com.au and they sent a solar tint guy out to do it. It was shocking. the corners werent even cut like they were just torn off lol. i couldnt believe it.
Adriano Film type tint is about $180- 200. but normal dark tint like 20 percent is only $150 and thats for a 4 door too!
