But I just got some tints for my taillights and just wondering if anyone has any tips or methods for putting them on... As I know I'm going to get soo many bubbles!!
gpx000 wrote:yeah i had no bubbles on mine.
what you do i use water, that way you can keep reapplying the vinyl.
spray water on the actual vinyl then place it over your tail light. there will be bubbles but its just water so just use a ruler or something to remove the water bubbles.
gpx000 wrote:yeah you spray it on the sticky side, that way you can reapply it, there will be bubbles but its not air, its just water so you can easily just smoothen the surface area, then use a hair dryer or heat gun to make it stick.
water is a much easier method.

hope it works.

NSW laws might be different I think. As far as I know you arent allowed to tamper with brake, reverse or indicator lights.
I fix cars.

Any modification to a light is illegal.

I spoke to my neighbour who's a pig from QLD Transport and he said as much as he'd want to give me a defect, he can't as long as the light is still visible from 200m. He may be wrong but I've never been hassled about it anyway.

In NSW any light mod is illegal. Lights are categorised a a safety item along with seatbelts & airbags.

Having said that, having a bottle of nos in my boot is even more illegal
