Wtf indicator trippin out the vehicle
Yeh so when i indicate right a majority of the time it will trip out the car, that being the dash turns off and you can hear the engine die all for like a second. Would it have something to do with aftermarket alarm/immobiliser on the vehicle? That seems to not work properly of late, doesnt want to unlock the car etc youd think the battery was flat but car starts perfect everytime.

Alternator. FTOs are apparently notorious for sh*tty alternators.
I fix cars.

f**king hell they aren't sh*tty alternators, they are OLD alternators. Of course they will play up after 15 years of abuse if never been changed

Re: Wtf indicator trippin out the vehicle
I doubt it's the Alternator since his battery would be atleast half charged, that doesn't make sense.
It does sound electrical though. id just check everything, trace the wire for the imobiliser to make sure theres no loose connections, check both sets of fusers.
If it only happens when your idling it could also be the stepper on its way out
How old is the battery? more then four years old?

How can it be a sh*t alternator if it does not do it with the left indicators??? If it's the alternator then every other electrical device must trip the car if it's weak.Daniel2019 wrote:Alternator. FTOs are apparently notorious for sh*tty alternators.
The reason your dash is blinking and rpms dropping is due it an excessive resistance on your right indicator circuit. I would first check the condition of your bulbs, connectors and wiring on the side that it causing the issues.

Not your alarm as your alarm just taps into your indicator wires.topao wrote:I doubt it's the Alternator since his battery would be atleast half charged, that doesn't make sense.
