Still having power issues sigh. No idea now. Hoping the next tank of premium will sort things out...no luck yet. No other signs of issues...
The gr i bought has more power than this before 5500 rpm... Embarressing.
Ugh Freaking out.

Check the basics. Fuel filter, plugs etc.
Probably hasn't had a fuel filter change in 15 years.

Re: Ugh Freaking out.
Had this happen to me when the fuel pump went.
Could only output 27psi instead of the 40 that I required.
surely enough, a new pump fixed it.
But that's one problem of many.
vacuum hoses I wouldn't say, but wouldn't rule out.
I had a hose off the plenum on the Merc, was a little down on power and kick down wouldn't work, but when reconnecting it ultimately made little difference to the big story...

Re: Ugh Freaking out.
Then again, renz said it happened suddenly while driving.. im thinking, if it was the fuel filter, it would be gradual..
Unless something suddenly made it to the fuel filter and caused a sudden awkward blockage...
Either way, it would be good to change the fuel filter anyway...

Like a flake of rust from the fuel tank?Gholdwayne wrote:Unless something suddenly made it to the fuel filter and caused a sudden awkward blockage...
