Clear facelift front indicators

Post by wildfaye »

Hi there, would the FTO Project be interested in making some clear/white facelift indicator lenses to sell to members?

We could buy the lenses and DIY the removal of the orange lenses and glueing and sealing the new clear/white lenses ourselves!

What I meant was...making onli the clear/white lenses...and fitting them by oursleves...instead of whole off-the-shelves ones which include the entire lamp mounting etc...the whole idea is to keep costs down...those funky ones kill!

make them ourselves

I have acces to moulds and moulding machines. If I can get a sample, an old lens. I can check out modifying a mould and then making them. Cost would be maybe $400.00 for the mould mods, Material is about $5.00 a kg.
If someone has an old lens, cracked or even in pieces(as long as all the pieces are there) I could make a start on it.

Is it easy to remove them from the car? Can someone tell me how to do it?
