im gonna be adjusting my tappets on the weekend....
ive been told its not too difficult a job as long as you are slightly mechanically minded and follow the manual....
to those of you whom have done this job already, are there any hints or tips you can give me that arent mentioned in the manual?
in my experience with working on my car (which isnt a great deal ) theres usually some little annoying detail that stumps you for a few hours and puts your schedule right off...
Just make sure u got the special tool, & it strong enough, or u going to keep snapping it.

i did my tappets but i forgot to take photos
IMO opinion it isnt as hard a job as it seems.... one thing i do want to mention though is that a bent 10mm socket doesnt work very well.... its just too hard to turn and its hard to get leverage on it... what i ended up doing was i got my deep 10mm socket and angle grinded a bit of it away so i could still fit it in around the cam lobe....this worked much better and had less chance of rounding the locking nut....
so if you are thinking of doing this job, is not that hard.... if you havent ever taken off your rocker covers before, then id start with getting yourself used to taking off your intake manifold etc before tackling it all at once cos if you dont know what to take off and where things go back, it can get confusing... but if you are used to taking off your IM and know exactly how your rocker covers come off, then i wouldnt pay a mechanic hundreds of dollars to do it...
Just a thought..... cheap is not always best.... if its someone who doesn;t know what they are doing - fixing it up can sometimes cost more than what the initial job would have.....
I know they're not the cheapest - but I also know they have done lots of work on FTO's - so I will always recommend UAS.
