Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
I just got a rear mount from Repco for 55 bucks. Not sure how it will go but!
Cant believe but the intermittent vibration I had at idle is not gone!! I just matched up a front mount and it's 70 bucks from Repco.
So 55 bucks for rear mount and 70 bucks for front mount.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Found something while shopping for some parts for my 34
Tip front mount: MR131296
Tip rear mount: MR223674
The tip front engine mounts are EXACTLY the same (same part number) as the Lancer/Mirage CE / DEA 1.5 model ones
Front mounts from autobarn are 60bucks
Front ones i found at Lees Spare parts Springwood (brissy)
They are 95 bucks
Hope this helps .. Mitshu wants 140 for front and 195 for rears.. and its 3 weeks ETA from japland

Repco sell the rear mounts for 55. Exactly the same as the tip version. If your side mounts are sagged take care of them first. If you want the rear tip mount kelpro part number I'll try dig it up.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Also if you want a cheap fix to your mounts before buying new ones get sikaflex sealant 252 from bunnings fill in the mount let it dry for couple of days and put them back in. Worked a treat with my old mounts.
Vibration disappeared under load.

Rear auto mount part number is mt8419. I think fronts are 90. Take a sample in they match it up.

Check your front mount? Sika flex your old rear mount with sikaflex and same with the front and for me my vibration under load disappeared.

Tip mate. But repco have a kelpro trade book and no doubt will be able to see which has a solid core.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
f**king none of them. Went to both Repco & Bursons today, even had Bursons engine mount rep come down & none of them could supply a solid centre. He even argued that I dont need a solid centre Back to Meek.payaya wrote:Tip mate. But repco have a kelpro trade book and no doubt will be able to see which has a solid core.

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Is there a place where I can buy the full mounts from? (besides Camskill)
Don't have a press and would rather get the whole unit.
Cheers

Re: DIY: Changing lower engine mounts
Yeah the ones Bursons had were from http://www.transgold.com.au/home.html & they were whole mounts. $120 for both I thought was a real good price. Tip only though.

Couldn't tell you. I've only used genuine, Ralliart & Poly.
