ROTREX

I'd be inclined to go for a Rotrex and run it off the bottom pulley. Lets face it, I'm in Scotland and I can go without the air con (seeing as it hasn't actually worked for the last seven years anyway!)

I'd say:
Big boost - Rotrex and forged internals
Low boost - Eaton M45 and standard internals (should be cheaper)

Rotrex do appear pretty damn expensive Rob, but the C30 only goes up to 400BHP so should take quite well to low boost. Plus I though once a bracket was made to hold it it would be less hassle to install.

But I am only working on theory and I know you are working on experience

No you're right mate, in theory mounting a Rotrex should be easier and less hassle and you could most likely keep the intake plenum as is whereas with an Eaton M45 you have to shorten the plenum and relocate the brake reservoir, and possibly bulge the bonnet (well I did anyway).
But yeah it's the cost plus i'm not sure the Rotrex spin the right way (may be wrong) and if that's so then you need a complicated pulley setup to swap that around.

If say a mounting bracket for an Eaton M45 could be purchased then it's a doddle to actualyl fit (well not a doddle it's fiddly but not rocket science), I did a full removal and then refit in a weekend and that included lots of time to make plans of my brackets etc (which i've now lost since moving here!)

Eaton M45 is limited by max 8psi boost (by rpm) and that's over-running it, I would say ideal for low boost but not if you have plans to start with low boost and then increase it later and go with forged internals, you would have to switch to a larger charger which means new brackets again.
M45 is good for around 250bhp on the FTO, possibly a little more depending on what other mods and mapping. Boost delivery is very good though.
