Byebye my love...

Post by EscapingFate »

Friday night at midnight was driving down in the lower portlands...

And i was doing 55 in a 60 zone, and a bend came unexpectedly the sign for the bend said 15kmh and was about 10-20 meters before the bend, which gave me no chance to slow down. So upon seeing this sign i slammed on the brakes, turned with the corner but due to dew on the road the back of my car slid out, and hit the part of the road where the grass meets the road and my car rolled down a hill 3 times landed on its wheels blew back windshield out broke spoiler drivers side was fuxxed... bonnet was on the windshield... IN short a total write off cops said me and my mates were lucky to be alive let alone walk out with out any injuries...

Heres a few pics of the wreckage from the next day...

Pedo bear survived lmao..

the four trees were actually holding my car up from falling about another 100-200m into the river down below... the passenger side wheels were actually off the ground... sooo freakin close..

Wow.

From the looks of that damage it was a serious fall you took. Pity it's a GPvR too :(

Glad you're ok though.

How many of you were in the car?

sh*t, that sucks to hear man.
Sorry for the loss

Atleast you are all safe, but it's always the last thing on your mind when your involved unless someone is injured.

Extreme shame, but atleast you are fully insured.

Nah i didnt buy the car back it was a total loss... write off... I salvaged the sound system out of it the next day (when i took the pics) but thats all that i was able to salvage... Mr aza and dwayne that blue momo gear shifter had to stay behind because i couldnt undo the cap that holds it in place... cause i tightened that thing like a baws... and i couldnt undo it lol ... It may go up for NRMA auctions for all i know i didnt really ask lol .. And my exhaust was only a pipe going from the cat down to the end... was made by mcgraths mufflers only cost me 250$ he made the whole thing then and there and gave me a smaller muffler which played a massive part in the sound... cause the original one has 7 chambers to muffle the sound the one he gave me was just 1 straight through chamber... which muffled f**k all... which was awesome...

@astron- i was looking at it but i believe that if i get another FTO it will always seem inadequate to mine... thus i wouldnt be able to enjoy it as much as i should... so i think i shall move on to a S13/14 or a skyline... but i wont be 1 of those tool's that usually drive skylines ill be a FTO driver in a skyline haha Ill always be a FTO driver...

Nah cops arent cause they saw the conditions of the road and they told me due to a wet road cause dew was forming, REALLY bad signage and inexperience as im on my P's they will place it down to lack of experience aswell as the signage... so i should get off with out a neg driving charge...

And shumie... it looks like i did... cause by all means i shoulda died that night...

Glad to see youre OK.

Cummon though, you dont want to go over to the dark side....... Im sure you can find another nice FTO that would suit. It did such a good job of protecting you, you cant defect.

I am with dwayne on that one ...

Being a R32 owner and an FTO owner... As much as I love the GTS-t, the FTO is just awesome... Great styled car ... And a better dated interior.. the s13's really need to have the s15 seat upgrade cause they are just not the comfortable.. Did this conversion on my mates car...

Glad you and your mates are OK .. Surprised that your third passenger didn't put his head through the rear glass..
I just had to add it ......
