Is replacing Lower Control Arm bushes hard?

Hi guys,

So i got my rear coilover fix today and the guy from Pedders told me that my lower control arm inner bush needs replacement. got quoted $357. Wholesale suspension told me $500 including fit in 8O

Are those DIY able? I dont mind doing it if any kind souls are willing to teach me? and where is the best place to get these?

On a more serious note, I have watched a few DIYs and it seems relitively easy, provided you remove the entire assembly.
Tube spanner
bench vice
socket piece
and the all important lube!

Not going to give a step by step as I'm not going to be held liable if you get the tube spanner up your bum whilst it's lubed up.
Never tried to do the bushes myself.

The rear bushes are a massive pain in the ass. You can't socket bash them out if they are the 1xx,xxx km old OEM units, you'll need a press.

I've done them all & let me assure you, I left multiple impressions of baby jesus in the boxer shorts when doing so.

Ahh fair enough, wasn't sure what design they were, but seeing the pics, yeah.

Depends what bush you actually mean. If it's the one on the inside of the swing arm you can press it out with a decent vice. The outer is damn near impossible without a press.
