EOI: Sunroof on factory roof without sunroof

Hi guys,

Just wondering if I can find a place where they can put a sunroof on a factory roof without a sunroof, is there any one who would be interested in getting one done as a group?

I'm going to have few ppl have a look at the car and see if they can do a good job on it....

If they are able, any one interested?

In Sydney though..

Hi guys,

Just to let you know and update you just in case you guys are interested, that I have just installed the sunroof on my car.

My car had no sunroof before so my roof has a dip in it but these guys did a fantastic job on it!

If you want their contacts let me know and I'll forward them to you.
Or need some more info I will let you know as much as I know.

Can you take a picture to illustrate how the sunroof guys dealt with the dip in the roof? It might help other owners decide if they want it done... not me though, mine is factory

Like i said, in a similar thread, I never even noticed the dip, when I was looking for fto's, and I once was shopping for an fto, and the owners added the sunroof, I noticed because the controlls inside the car were different and i asked, and they said.. yeah we put it in..

but I never noticed any problems with the "dip", didn't even know the difference in roofs, and it looked normal to me..

Well basically if it wasn't a problem then i wouldn't even start this thread!

I have quoted a number of places my self and most of them either don't have the right sunroof to fit the car, or don't even want to touch it because of the dip!

But they guys did, and it actually looks very good!
I think they did a good job!
And they are supposed to be a company that are well known world wide...
Which I only found out after getting it done.

I will try and take some photos on the weekend and send it to some one who can post it up.

In the mean time if some one could let me know who can post the pics up?

I'll quote the price later as if there are few people getting it done, I should be able to bargain with them as I have already done it and I can deduct as much as possible, since they don't have to say take it or leave it, to me!!!

So I'll ask Adriano to post the pics as soon as I get some and I'll ask if any one is interested. If there are a few people then I will try and organise some thing for you guys!

Man I should be paid for all this work!!!!

This is a genuine question, not a sh*t stirring crap, as i love sunroof, but by looking at the last pic, does water store on your roof cause of the dip?

Apart from the rubber seal they use, what other material did they use on the edge? I'm just worry if the water might leak into the roof & even a tiny bit can cause it to rust internally & you won't able to tell until its too late.
